Week #36

so any way to answer some of your questions, the district we had last transfer was us and an area called yonabaru, our areas are right next to each other, we use the same church, same English class and so on the districts are now us and the shimai (sisters) of naha who are a 20min train ride away, so more or less as far as convenience money and time it doesn't make any sense, but I' not one to question the ways of the lord, its not a big deal and if that's what the lord feels is best, than it is.

as far as the money thing probably 150, 200 dollars if thats ok ill try to make it last as long as i can, and ill try to find a food priced watch.

the baptism did finally go through, however it did make for a hectic week, on Wednesday night we got a call from our investigator, in which she basically said because of my heart condition (86 years old) i don`t want to do the baptism, and feel that i might as well stop with all this stuff,since i cant.

we had an appointment the next day, so we when over with our usual joint and found out that all of that was still the case but she still wanted to do lessons cuz she enjoys them, but because her doctor changed her scheduled to Sunday that she goes to the hospital, she cant go to church, we left that, pretty down trodden, but taught with a little more time things would work out.  as we got up to go the other joint miahira shimai knocked on the door, we left told her all that was going on, and she being the faithful little obaachan that she is went and spoke with our investigator after we left, a few hours later that evening as we went to another appointment (we had by this point told the ward mission leader that the baptism was off ) we get a call from miahira shimai to tell us that furugen shimai again wanted to be baptized and that she would make sure she got to church each week.

so through allot of phone calls, come Saturday night, we had a baptismal service. 

that's not the end either, she had to be re-baptized 4 times and on the last time i had to jump in and help her to get all the way under the water, so in the end it was a team effort for me and my comp. to baptize her. they had to pull out a pare of white pants for me and let me tell you, im so glad ive lost weight or i would not have fit in those pants otherwise. It all worked out though.

she was confirmed the fallowing sunday, 

so that's my story for the week. the second baptism of my mission, and ill never forget it.
